Nar Phu Trekking
Experience the high peaks and passes, glaciers, remote villages, narrow canyons, lovely forests, amazing rock formations, yaks, gompas and unique Himalayan cultures through out Nar Phu trek
This trekking features rural landscapes, high mountain country, traversing glaciers, a non-technical ice-fall to negotiate, a high (5700 metres) pass (the Teshi Lapcha) to cross, and a wonderful sense of isolation, and optionally five days of playing at high altitude, including an ascent of Yalung Ri or Ramdun.
It’s a great trip for walkers who are confident with ice-axe and crampons, and for aspiring mountaineers. It has to be done as a camping trek: between Na and Thame cause there are no lodges.
